💡 About Desire
Desire is a youth exchange project focusing on gender identity, LGBTQ+ rights and social inclusion. With 36 participants from 7 countries, the project uses art, embodiment and non-formal education to explore these themes and empower young people to share their stories and experiences. This exchange will create a space for participants to express themselves freely and challenge stereotypes, while learning from one another and building lasting connections.

- Workshops on gender identity, LGBTQ+ rights, and social inclusion
- Creative activities: Express yourself through art, movement, and embodiment
- Discussions on breaking stereotypes and promoting inclusivity
- Follow-up activities to apply what you’ve learned and create positive change in your community
👥 Participant’s Profile
We are looking for passionate, open-minded young people who are between 18 and 30 years old, eager to learn about and engage with gender identity and LGBTQ+ rights. Ideal participants should have a strong interest in social inclusion, activism and community building, and be excited to participate in creative activities while sharing their experiences with others.

💰Cost & Fees
This project is funded by Erasmus+ programme: accommodation, food, materials, the programme and the travel costs up to the maximum allowed amount are fully covered. No fees.
Maximum travel reimbursement for Bulgarians: 290 EUR per person (245 EUR for non-green travel).
Participation donation: 50 EUR given in cash upon arrival at registration in place. This amount is an investment in your learning and supports the hosting organization’s local activities.
Smokinya Foundation operates thanks to hundreds of volunteering hours per month and donations.
We ask a contribution of 20 EUR /40 LEVA from all confirmed applicants.
Your donation covers some of our administrative and organisational expenses and supports Smokinya Foundation’s dream to establish youth-run international volunteering and training centre. In case the suggested donation amount is excessive for you, fill in the application form and contact us.

Obligatory pre-departure meeting: date, time, place – to be announced and sent upon confirmation.
Come in person to learn about Smokinya, Erasmus+, this project, reimbursement and ask your questions.
Participation is obligatory, an option is to join via Skype / Hangouts apps.

The program is intensive and challenging.
The program does NOT include cultural and touristic sightseeing.
