This project aims at contributing to reconnect young people to the natural environment. Developing a connection with nature has proven to have positive effects both on physical-mental wellbeing and on the adoption of sustainable behaviors.
We will come together in a place surrounded by woods to share our experiences and re-think our relationship with nature, reflect on the duality of the human-nature concept, question conventional solutions to environmental issues and feel the benefits of a closer relationship with the natural environment.
We will be 30 young people, gathering in nature during 8 days, to experience together a deeper connection to ourselves, others, and the natural environment, through Non-Formal Education, nature-based methodologies, deep ecology, mindfulness, practices, permaculture and hands-on activities.

Obligatory pre-departure meeting: to be announced and sent upon confirmation.

Participation is obligatory, an option is to join via Skype / Hangouts apps.

COST AND FEES
This project is funded by Erasmus+ programme: accommodation, food, materials, the programme and the travel costs up to the maximum allowed amount are fully covered. No fees.
Maximum travel reimbursement for Bulgarians: number EUR per person.
Participation donation: number EUR given in cash upon arrival at registration in place. This amount is an investment in your learning and supports the hosting organization’s local activities.
Smokinya Foundation operates thanks to hundreds of volunteering hours per month and donations.
We ask a contribution of 20 EUR /40 leva/ from all confirmed applicants.
Your donation covers some of our administrative and organisational expenses and supports Smokinya Foundation’s dream to establish youth-run international volunteering and training centre. In case the suggested donation amount is excessive for you, fill in the application form and contact us.
