ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project Yes. Please. Thank you. is based on the systemic approach to social inclusion of youth with multicultural background including immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers. The basis of the project is the belief that social inclusion begins with the acceptance of the identity an individual received through being born into a certain system – family in the first place, and then community, social and working environment, nation, culture, language, etc. Acceptance of life as it was given to us, and including all the people that belong to our family system is believed to be the first step of social inclusion, and acceptance of everyone else exactly as they are. Each individual has an equal right to belong to a system they are a part of, and to be recognised as a member. Every exclusion within a system has serious consequences for all the individual members which manifest through them.
The project Yes. Please. Thank you. is an 8-day training course based on systemic
principles of inclusive learning and provieds a safe learning context to explore one’s own
identity with the support of the group, and to look into how belonging to different systems
shapes one’s identity. It offers an insight into a “new” and innovate approach in youth work.
No matter who we become throughout our life, or the place where we live, or the language we
speak, unconsciously we always serve for the family, culture, the land or the system we
come from. This shapes the foundations of one’s identity. This is essential for understanding
the principles of inclusion of young people with multicultural background. Everyone brings
their identity with themselves everywhere.
This training course answers to the question of how to support social inclusion of youth with
multicultural background within youth work, and how to work with the topics of belonging,
acceptance, and identity with young people by applying systemic principles,
constellations, inclusive language and embodied learning as main methods..
The objectives of the training course:
-To create a context for a personal development experience for each participant to explore their own identity, their place and belonging to various systems in relationship to different elements and members within a system
-To get trained and embody systemic attitude towards inclusion, to learn the inclusive language, the know-howand practical applications of systemic principles and elements of constellations in the field of youth work
IMPORTANT
Obligatory pre-departure meeting: date, time, place – to be announced and sent upon confirmation.
Come in person to learn about Smokinya, Erasmus+, this project, reimbursement and ask your questions.
Participation is obligatory, an option is to join via Skype / Hangouts apps.

That requires commitment. You will be asked to organise a follow-up activity after the program.
The program is intensive and challenging.
The program does NOT include cultural and touristic sightseeing.

COST AND FEES
This project is funded by Erasmus+ programme: accommodation, food, materials, the programme and the travel costs up to the maximum allowed amount are fully covered.
Maximum travel reimbursement for Bulgarians: 275 EUR per person.
There is no participation fee.
Smokinya Foundation operates thanks to hundreds of volunteering hours per month and donations.
We ask a contribution of 20 EUR (40 leva) from all confirmed applicants. That amount covers some of our administrative and organisational expenses. This amount is NON-REIMBURSABLE.
