ABOUT THE PROJECT
During the 8 days of Tree of Life, 35 young people will have the opportunity to exchange opinions about sustainable challenges, acquire new skills and techniques through practical experience of a simulative sustainable community in a holistic way and working in teams to create new projects for their communities through the experience they gained. The purpose is through this experience to promote change and initiatives to solve the sustainability challenges around us.
WHAT CAN YOU GET OUT OF THIS TRAINING?
You will have the chance to:
-live and experience a simulate sustainable community in a holistic way for 8 days
-enhance your knowledge in sustainability
-exchange ideas and new ways to promote change
-start working with teams for your project/challenge you want to contribute during and after Hopeland
Online preparation: You will be asked to do an assignment before coming to help you explore and familiarize with the idea of sustainability and sustainable challenges and solutions in your area.
Youth Exchange: The 8 days programme will include morning and afternoon activities and free time after lunch.
Follow-up: You will plan an an event or storytelling evening for sharing your experiences and raising awareness of environmental problems in your local community to promote sustinability in personal or/and professional life.
IMPORTANT
Obligatory pre-departure meeting: date, time, place – to be announced and sent upon confirmation.
Come in person to learn about Smokinya, Erasmus+, this project, reimbursement and ask your questions.
Participation is obligatory, an option is to join via Skype / Hangouts apps.

This is learning program funded by Erasmus+ programme.
That requires commitment. You will be asked to organise a follow-up activity after the program.
The program is intensive and challenging.
The program does NOT include cultural and touristic sightseeing.
Get to know all provided information in the info letter before you submit your application form.
Apply only when you know you want to participate and you have the dates of the training available.

COST AND FEES
This project is funded by Erasmus+ programme: accommodation, food, materials, the programme and the travel costs up to the maximum allowed amount are fully covered.
Maximum travel reimbursement for Bulgarians: 245 EUR per person.
Participation contribution to the project cost requested: 50 EUR paid in cash upon arrival at registration in place.
Smokinya Foundation operates thanks to hundreds of volunteering hours per month and donations.
We ask a contribution of 20 EUR (40 leva) from all confirmed applicants. That amount covers some of our administrative and organisational expenses. This amount is NON-REIMBURSABLE.
