This is a learning program. It requires full focus and participation.
Travel reimbursement is only sent to those who fully participate in all phases, including the follow-up and dissemination.

The aim of this training course is to empower and give youth workers frameworks and space to create and practice
high-quality educational games that address social inclusion among youth.
During the main activity, participants will have the opportunity to gain skills and knowledge in educational game
architecture and facilitation.

“Gamification” contains 2 phases:
– 1st Phase: Training Course for Youth Workers – 8 days program focused on giving youth workers the knowledge, basic fundamentals and facilitation skills of educational games discovering educational games as a powerful tool for social inclusion and empowerment minorities at risk of social exclusion.
– 2nd Phase: Local Action Phase – Action Phase where participants come back to their local organisations and put in action the gained knowledge and learned exercises and dynamics. They will have the chance to practice and improve their facilitation skills by delivering the educational games created in the TC for their target group.

Goals of the project

1 Explore Educational Games as a powerful methodology for youth workers directly working with young people at risk of social exclusion.
2 Provide youth workers with practical skills in designing, implementing and facilitating educational games adapted to their work with young people.
3 Apply the knowledge and skills acquired by participants by developing and facilitating educational games in their organisations during the Local Action Phase.
4 Develop the “Educational Games For Social Inclusion” compilation booklet, compiling the inclusive educational games created and tested by the participants, and share it with organisations and youth workers.
5 Initiate an international network of youth organisations working on social inclusion and empowerment of youth with the focus on using Educational Games as a method.

Who can apply?

– you are 18+
– you are a youth leader or a youth worker, who have some experience, but more important desire to develop and gain a “level up” in their youth work
– you are resident of Croatia, Italy, Macedonia, Greece, Bulgaria or Poland.
– you are willing and committed to working through the whole main activity (about 8 hours per day)
– you are motivated to explore and submerge into the topic of educational games.

This is learning program funded by Erasmus+ programme.
That requires commitment. You will be asked to organise a follow-up activity after the program.
The program is intensive and challenging.
The program does NOT include cultural and touristic sightseeing.
Get to know all provided information in the info letter before you submit your application form.
Apply only when you know you want to participate and you have the dates of the training available.

This project is funded by Erasmus+ programme: accommodation, food, materials, the programme and the travel costs up to the maximum allowed amount are fully covered.

Maximum travel reimbursement for Bulgarians: 275 EUR per person.
Participation contribution to the project cost requested: no fee.

Smokinya Foundation operates thanks to hundreds of volunteering hours per month and donations.
We ask a contribution of 21 EUR (40 leva) from all confirmed applicants. That amount covers some of our administrative and organisational expenses. This amount is NON-REIMBURSABLE.
