Why did we develop this project?
In today’s social context, Modern Community will address the urgent need for accessible parenting resources, especially among fathers.

Within this project, we will focus on developing the two organizations with parenting information through a study visit to Sweden at More Mosaic, helping them better understand the needs of parents and coming up with solutions to address these needs, generating non-formal education methods and workshops to provide support.

We will develop the Modern Community Solutions Map by mapping the needs in both the Romanian and Bulgarian communities. In this way, we aim to support adults in the target group by offering valuable resources on parenting and applying non-formal solutions to the challenges that arise within families.

Through this project, we will equip the 4 staff members with the necessary skills to work with families and the current challenges they face—autonomy, connecting to current realities, conflict management within the family, discipline and cooperation, reducing depression in families, and improving the quality of couple relationships. With the help of best practice exchanges, we will prepare the staff for the workshops we will develop, as well as for the Modern Community Caravan.

Our focus will also be on developing and implementing 9 workshops in Romania and Bulgaria, involving over 450 participants in the target group directly. The workshops will be organized in the largest cities in the country (Bucharest, Cluj, Iași, Brașov, Timișoara). In all the activities we will develop, we will also involve 20 Ukrainian families living in both countries, who will benefit from parenting activities within the workshops. Additionally, in the final month of the project, we will implement 2 multiplier events in Romania and Bulgaria.

Through this project, we aim to reach parents aged 30-45 in Romania and Bulgaria, prospective parents who are motivated to inform themselves and gain key skills, as well as local and national associations that distribute the survey to the target group, online news platforms, and entrepreneurs. Additionally, the project will indirectly reach individuals interested in the project’s main theme, as well as single-parent families in connection with public institutions.

The project objectives:

  • To increase awareness of the father’s role in child education in 9 local communities in Romania and Bulgaria for a total of 450 parents over a period of 14 months.
  • To develop parenting skills for 4 staff members from Romania and Bulgaria through a 3-day study visit and exchange of good practices from Sweden.
  • To increase the organizational and cross-sectoral capacity of the 3 partner organizations over a period of 14 months.

For Creative Energy Spot, which is participating in its first Erasmus+ program, this project represents an extraordinary opportunity for growth, learning, and a real contribution to the non-formal education of parents at the European level. Our goal is to create sustainable resources and strengthen the connection between communities, highlighting the father’s role in child education.
