Märchenkoffer e.V is a non-profit organization that supports multilingualism and the mother tongues of children with a migrational background. Based in Hannover, the organization provides children and teenagers with the opportunity to practice their native language in an informal setting.
Activities include regular language classes, creative workshops, holiday celebrations and camps. The project also fosters a multicultural community, works on social initiatives and engages with politicians and other organizations in Hannover and the surrounding area.
Your Tasks as a Volunteer
Depending on your skills, interests and the needs of the organization, your tasks may include:
✔ Organizational and pedagogical support for activities
✔ Organizing your own project
✔ Creative tasks (photography, video, design)
✔ Writing small grants and supporting fundraising
✔ Attending events and networking with politicians
✔ Household duties (gardening, housework)
✔ Supporting the overall work of the educational center
Your Profile
✅ Aged 18-30 years old (ESC requirement)
✅ Speak German at B1 level
✅ Interested in social work, fundraising, and communications
✅ Responsible, reliable and open to engaging with different people
✅ Flexible, proactive and eager to learn
IMPORTANT
This project is funded by Erasmus+, meaning accommodation, food, materials and travel costs up to the maximum allowed amount are fully covered. No participation fees.
This is learning program funded by Erasmus+ programme.
That requires commitment. You will be asked to organise a follow-up activity after the program.
The program is intensive and challenging.
The program does NOT include cultural and touristic sightseeing.
