Description
Asociación Mojo de Caña was founded in 2001 in Santa Brigida, Gran Canaria. The association is made up of people passionate about activism, dedicated to social development and inclusion through arts, non-formal education, and human rights-based education as tools for social change. Our headquarters are in Gran Canaria, with additional offices in La Palma, Tenerife, Madrid, and Córdoba. We are currently looking for 1 volunteer for our Tenerife Office: Your tasks will include: Organizing recreational, non-formal educational, and sports activities for children from vulnerable backgrounds. Collaborating with elderly people in social activities, workshops, and outdoor trips. Promoting healthy habits and values with teenagers and supporting educators. Assisting with office tasks: managing emails, social media, creating digital content using tools like Canva, and promoting ESC projects. Participating in local events and activities on the island.
Participant profile
Aged between 18-30 years. Resident of the EU or a country within the ESC Programme (check the EU Youth Portal or contact us for details). Dynamic, creative, outgoing, and interested in social work and youth projects. Comfortable working with people of all ages. Basic Spanish skills are preferred to facilitate interaction with locals.
IMPORTANT
Obligatory pre-departure meeting: – to be announced and sent upon confirmation.
Come in person to learn about Smokinya, Erasmus+, this project, reimbursement and ask your questions.
Participation is obligatory, an option is to join via Skype / Hangouts apps.

Smokinya Foundation operates thanks to hundreds of volunteering hours per month and donations.
We ask a contribution of 20 EUR /40 leva/ from all confirmed applicants.
Your donation covers some of our administrative and organisational expenses and supports Smokinya Foundation’s dream to establish youth-run international volunteering and training centre. In case the suggested donation amount is excessive for you, fill in the application form and contact us.
