We’d love for you to join the “Be Free Reconnection” program, where you’ll learn how to use social media safely and productively, and make wise decisions about your online presence
Project Goals:
– Increase digital literacy
– Establish a healthier and mindful relationship with social media
– Transform the relationship with technology
– Step out of the comfort zone
– Establish meaningful connections in the offline world
Participant profile:
– 18 to 24 years old
– enthusiastic about the disconnection from technology
– would like to share some ideas about mindful use of technology
– want to create live connections in the offline world
– open to doing communal work such as helping in the kitchen, some cleaning, etc.
– committed to participating in the project through all the phases (preparation, exchange program, follow-up activities)
– able to communicate in English
Group Leader profile:
– 18+ years old
– excited about the project idea and objectives
– preferably have some background in working with youth
– enthusiastic, supportive, willing to take the initiative and encourage others
– ready to develop and deliver workshops for the group
– eager to improve facilitation skills
– able to freely communicate in English
During the programme participants will have chance to practice their mindful usage of devices and online presence. It means that participants will have a choice in the beginning of each day to decide: if they want to limit their online presence, disconnect from their phones and discover themselves and their relationships with others.
IMPORTANT
Come in person to learn about Smokinya, Erasmus+, this project, reimbursement and ask your questions.
Participation is obligatory, an option is to join via Skype / Hangouts apps.

That requires commitment. You will be asked to organise a follow-up activity after the program.
The program is intensive and challenging.
The program does NOTinclude cultural and touristic sightseeing.

COST AND FEES
This project is funded by Erasmus+ programme: accommodation, food, materials, the programme and the travel costs up to the maximum allowed amount are fully covered. No fees.
Maximum travel reimbursement for Bulgarians: 260 EUR per person.
Participation donation: 30 EUR given in cash upon arrival at registration in place. This amount is an investment in your learning and supports the hosting organization’s local activities.
Smokinya Foundation operates thanks to hundreds of volunteering hours per month and donations.
We ask a contribution of 20 EUR /40 leva/ from all confirmed applicants.
Your donation covers some of our administrative and organisational expenses and supports Smokinya Foundation’s dream to establish youth-run international volunteering and training centre. In case the suggested donation amount is excessive for you, fill in the application form and contact us.
