“Journey of Labels” Training Course

This training is designed to help youth workers understand and address the mechanisms that create stereotypes, prejudices, and discrimination. By recognizing these mechanisms in themselves and others, participants will be equipped to use this awareness to foster more inclusive and sensitive environments in their personal and professional lives.
Objectives of the project include:
– Creating a more inclusive and sensitive environment for young people from diverse backgrounds.
– Improving youth workers’ understanding of how stereotypes, prejudices, and discrimination form and operate.
– Educating on the categorization process and its impact on behavior and attitudes.
– Encouraging self-reflection on personal biases and develop strategies to combat discrimination.
Are you..:
– Youth worker, voluntees and person who cooperates with organisations
– 18 – 35 years old
– Resident in Bulgaria, Czechia, France, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Malta, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Spain
– Facing “fewer opportunities” or working with “fewer opportunities” youth
– With previous experience in working with youg people
– Able to communicate in English

COST AND FEES
This project is funded by Erasmus+ programme: accommodation, food, materials, the programme and the travel costs up to the maximum allowed amount are fully covered.
Maximum travel reimbursement for Bulgarians: number 210 per person.
Participation contribution: number 30 given in cash upon arrival at registration in place. This amount is an investment in your learning and supports the hosting organization’s local activities.
Smokinya Foundation operates thanks to hundreds of volunteering hours per month and donations.
We ask a contribution of 20 EUR /40 leva/ from all confirmed applicants.
Your donation covers some of our administrative and organisational expenses and supports Smokinya Foundation’s dream to establish youth-run international volunteering and training centre. In case the suggested donation amount is excessive for you, fill in the application form and contact us.
