We are pleased to announce that the deadlines to participate in the “Common ground” project in Italy have been extended!
The idea came from working with young people and colleagues from different organisations.
Every working environment is complex. For a team to work well and get good results, they need to understand how people interact with each other. They also need to know how to resolve conflicts and communicate well.
The main activity of the project is a training course aimed at facilitating dialogue and exploring conflict resolution in organisations. The aim is to raise awareness of interpersonal and group dynamics in a work context such as youth work, and to provide tools for healthy conflict management.
Participants profile:
– a Youth Worker active in an organization
– Motivated to take part in all the phases of the project
– Would like to bring the results in the local community
– Hold the European Health Card (or similar insurance)
Follow-up activities:
At least 5 local or online events, 1 in each local community. Participants in the projects involve local organisations in a workshop based on the theme of the project and plan coordinated actions in cooperation.
Methodology:
The methodology of the project is based on Patrick Lencioni’s model. Through non-formal education, which includes experiential approaches, practical activities, role-playing and group discussions, methods and ways of solving the challenges of working in teams are explored.
By the end of the course, participants will have acquired the tools to work in a team where trust, conflict, commitment, accountability and results guide daily project management and youth work.
About YOUth Connect
The vision is identified as “youth connection”: connection with oneself, with other young people, with associations, with institutions, with experts, with national and
international communities, with the world. YC members firmly believe in the opportunities for realizing this vision using a peer-to-peer approach and non-formal education, which are the basis of the methods used during the association’s activities.
