Our approach is heuristic – a method for empowering a person to discover or learn something for themselves. Smokinya provides an alternative context of learning – experiential, ‘hands-on’ or learning by doing.

Smokinya Foundation is accredited for the implementation of projects under the Erasmus youth.
This course is part of our accreditation, and so we can have participants from any EU country. Once selected, and confirmed we can add to the project partnership a reliable NGO from your country.
We have partnered in over 120 projects in the past 7 years and we have sent more than 700 participants in projects worldwide. We keep expanding our work and deliver quality opportunities for youth, youth workers, volunteers, educators and people involved in support of other people.
Smokinya Foundation follows the UN youth agenda 2030, the 11 Youth goals, and EU strategy in the field of youth to Engage, Connect, Empower.

Come in person to learn about Smokinya, Erasmus+, this project, reimbursement and ask your questions.
Participation is obligatory, an option is to join via Skype / Hangouts apps.

The program is intensive and challenging.
The program does NOT include cultural and touristic sightseeing.

COST AND FEES
This project is funded by Erasmus+ programme: accommodation, food, materials, the programme and the travel costs up to the maximum allowed amount are fully covered.
Maximum travel reimbursement: 23 EUR to 410 EUR, based on distance and means of transportation, per person.
We encourage personal accountability and ownership of the program and suggest.
In any case, apply and do let us know if you face any obstacle.
Your donations covers some of our administrative and organisational expenses and supports Smokinya Foundation’s dream to establish youth-run international volunteering and training centre. In case the suggested donation amount is excessive for you, fill in the application form and contact us.
