“Youth Guide” training course in Plovdiv, 30th August – 9th September 2022
Youth Guide – Training Course was hosted by Smokinya Foundation from 30th August to 9th September 2022, in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
32 participants from 10 countries (Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Spain) have come in Plovdiv to enrich their leadership skills and apply the knowledge in the youth work field. They had the opportunity to practice proactivity and to work on themselves.
The main approach that was used is ontological and phenomenological method.
The participants had the opportunity to reflect on their patterns and their way of decision making, through experiential learning techniques. They also got to move past their assumptions to new realizations and commit to their individual goals.
During 8 days a lot of practises were applied.
The participants were involved in team building activities that would increase their cooperation and communication skills.
There were also a lot of individual processes that aimed to break their patterns and give them the chance to reflect on their concepts.
Body movement was intergrated in the programme: they were incouraged to find relation between body and mind in order to learn how to change their mental state by working on their physiology.
Moreover, the schedule included outdoor processes that helped participants in implementing their indoor-aquired knowledge and put it into practice.
