This is a learning program. It requires full focus and participation.
Travel reimbursement is only sent to those who fully participate in all phases, including the follow-up and dissemination.
As children, we grow up believing that our home is permanent, something to go back to when it is needed. Home is usually associated with stability and certainty, which we many times miss in our young adult life. Our project, Home is… is designed to bring self-created certainty and stability to our lives. These are often believed to come from outside sources, however, it starts from the individual. We would like to invite You to share Your experiences connected to mobility and immobility, to rethink and retell your own personal stories and to define your concept of home.
During the program we are dealing with topics and concepts of automatic behaviours, patterns, inclusion, cooperation, belonging, family and roots, and many more. If you are willing to learn and go for it, you will have the chance to expand your own limitations, maximize your creativity and create the results you were stopping yourself creating before. This all requires your full participation, commitment and openness to a specific approach.
The method and the approach of this program has a long history. It comes from the late 60s and early 70s in California, then it passed through South Africa and Israel to reach Europe in several forms and shapes. In the 2000s the training method was translated from the for-profit field into the non-for-profit field by a group of European youth workers from the Netherlands, Hungary and Greece.
15 years later, thousands of young people, youth workers, trainers, coaches, volunteers and people interested in their personal and professional development have participated in programs using the method. Programs are organized and implemented in the Netherlands, Hungary, Croatia, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Italy, Romania, Slovakia, Lithuania, Austria. You can hear about “Basic synergy” training and “Event wise” training, which are different in many ways, but most of the core processes are there in both, and the vision is the same: “To create a world that works for everyone out of love, care and cooperation”.
Creating the maximum learning for yourself requires your FULL participation in the program.
This learning program can be intense in terms of working/learning hours, we start the program every day around 9-10 in the morning and finish it around 23:00 in the evening.
Only apply if you feel mentally and physically ready to participate. The 10 days long youth exchange also includes 2,5 days of outdoor, when the program is happening outside of the venue, this is there for you to implement in practice all what you learn in the first part of the program and to maximize your creativity while working in a small team. The outdoor part doesn’t necessarily require any previous physical- mental- or outdoor training.
