Hello readers,
My 3 months in Mrachenik has just finished and honestly, I don’t even know where to start .
Too many things happened during this time, too many things that have changed in me, and I recognise myself because this is what I wanted, but still, the progress has been incredible.
During the reflection day when I was looking at the letter that I wrote during the first days. I realised that I accomplished everything that I was looking forward to achieve. And even if I said that I came without expectations, I’m happy to say that this experience has overcome all the possible expectations, from the smaller ones to the bigger ones.
Along all this journey, I’ve learned many skills, including being part of a working, cleaning or cooking team. I was also part of a foundation and a community with a common purpose.
I’ve being able to practice different languages and learn new ones. Thanks to Raya we were able to learn Bulgarian, which was really helpful when we needed to hitchhike and also in order to communicate more and more with the villagers.
I’ve been able to disconnect from the noise and the pollution of the city. I’ve been able to connect more with myself and with others, people from different countries, different cultures, different backgrounds.
And the work in Mrachenik felt so pure, helping the villagers, cleaning the centre and the roads, and obviously supporting the foundation as much as possible.
The first month was over so fast for me because I was just completing the tasks without even enjoying the process, but the second I was being more aware and it started to look a bit monotonous. But thanks to the vitality vibes projects, the last 3 weeks were much more enjoyable, with different people, different activities, just different but still connected to the objective.
Honestly, for me you’re not rich when you’re a millionaire. Personally I believe that you’re rich when you learn. And the best way to do that is a project of this kind. I recommend this experience to everyone.
I will finish by saying that everything happens for a reason.
But especially, all this happened to build my personality and grow as a person not for the future but for the present.
Thank you so much to all the people involved in this project.
Jorge.
