2.EIT Culture & Creativity opens €6 million for fashion and the lived environment

the project is in two part

  • NEB Academy | Fashion Shift – Up to €2.5 million in total funding, with up to €500,000 per project: Fashion is one of Europe’s most resource-intensive industries, yet it is also a sector where new circular and regenerative approaches are emerging fast. The Fashion Shift funds multi-actor consortia that include independent fashion brands, ready to further develop and scale responsible business models across the European value chain: from material sourcing and design through to retail, circular services and end-of-life management.
  • NEB Academy | Skills Infrastructure – Up to €3.5 million in total funding, with up to €600,000 per project: Transforming Europe’s lived environment is not only a question of materials, technologies or regulations. It also requires competences across sectors, rooted in cultural and creative practices. The professionals, public bodies and educators who shape our shared spaces need new skills and new ways of working together. The Skills Infrastructure funds five to six trans-regional collaborations to build lifelong learning programmes grounded in local contexts.

    3. Circolo del design: New open call for the Earthrise 26 Residency

Support provided includes travel and accommodation, a dedicated workspace, a production budget of up to €3,000, and a designer’s fee of €1,500.

    Earthrise 26
For its 2026 edition, Earthrise – Design for a Living Planet explores clay-based materials, ceramics, earthenware and their derivatives, as cultural, environmental and design resources for the present.
The project approaches clay beyond the functional object, considering it as narrative, spatial and critical matter. What can clay still communicate when freed from function and returned to a space of inquiry?

The exhibition rethinks materials as active matter: able to record gesture, retain time and render transformation visible. In this sense, clay becomes a critical device to reconsider not only what we produce, but also how and why we produce it.
