1.Training in Human Rights Education
The COMPASS Training Courses in Human Rights Education are strategic national or regional activities for the development of competences of key multipliers for human rights education with young people.


when

  • an initial e-learning phase (May-September 2026)
  • a residential 8-day training course to be held at the European Youth Centre Budapest from 29 September to the 6 October 2026 (arrival date 28 September, departure date 7 October).
  • as follow-up activities, including e-learning (October-December 2026)

    the project AIM

    This training course aims at developing the competences of participants to act as trainers and multipliers for human rights education in the context of local, national or regional activities and projects with young people, making use of Compass and supporting the implementation of the Council of Europe Charter on Education for Democratic Citizenship and Human Rights Education, the UN World Programme for Human Rights Education and the UN Declaration on Human Rights Education and Training.


    Financial Support:
    Travel expenses and visa fees, accommodation and lodging for the training seminar in Budapest will be reimbursed according to the rules of the Council of Europe.


    who can Apply:

  • trainers or facilitators in non–formal education, especially within youth organisations and associations, in youth work activities and in other NGOs concerned with human rights education;
  • young leaders involved in human rights education through youth work activities and in other NGOs concerned with human rights education;
  • teachers or teacher trainers with a multiplying role within formal education systems interested in introducing non-formal learning methodologies in their activities on HRE;
  • Youth workers, human rights activists, volunteers experienced in and intending to function as multipliers and advocates for human rights education at local, national or international level;
  • be aged between 18-30 years old resident of one of the countries state parties to the European Cultural Convention or, with regards to the OHCHR collaboration, national of a country in the North Africa and Middle East (MENA) region
  • All participants in the training course are expected to implement HRE projects or programmes as relevant, such as national training courses in human rights education, translation and dissemination of Compass, advocacy projects on human rights education or others as a follow-up of their participation in the course.     2.ETC Internships
    The European Travel Commission (ETC) is looking for a Corporate Communications Trainee for its Advocacy Department to join our team for a period of six months (renewable) starting in mid/end May 2026. The selected intern will have a unique opportunity to earn work experience in an international organisation based in Brussels, Belgium, and gain insight into the European and worldwide tourism industry from a privileged position.


    Duration:
    six months (renewable) starting in mid/end May 2026


    Eligibility:

  • Hold a recognised university degree in a relevant field (tourism, digital communication, marketing or equivalent);

  • Be willing to move to Brussels.

  • Strong organisational skills, in particular related to time optimisation, detail orientation and
    prioritisation

  • Excellent writing skills
  • Understanding of the EU, its processes and policies (experience with travel, tourism or
    transport sectors is a plus)

  • Experience in social media management (LinkedIn, YouTube)
  • A strong interest in travel and tourism
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Multi-tasking skills, with proven ability to prioritise and deal with multiple tasks
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook). Knowledge of WordPress, Mailchimp, Canva
    and Sprout is a plus.

  • Committed, participative, team player
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent English language skills; knowledge of other European languages is an advantage

    3.DiscoverEU

    DiscoverEU is an EU initiative that will be giving young people (18 years old) the opportunity to travel across Europe, explore its diversity and learn about its cultural heritage and history.


    Duration:
    between 1 and 30 days,


    Eligibility:

  • Young people born between 1 July 2007 (included) and 30 June 2008 (included);
  • Citizen or legal resident of the EU, third countries associated to the Erasmus+ programme: Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, and Türkiye or Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTs) associated with the European Union: Aruba, Bonaire, Curação, French Polynesia, French Southern and Antarctic Territories, Greenland, New Caledonia, Saba, Saint Barthélemy, Sint Eustatius, Sint Maarten, Saint Pierre et Miquelon, Wallis et Futuna Islands;

    What you get:

    How to Apply:

  • Create an account on the European Youth Portal.
  • Complete a short quiz.
