Hello!Last year, we had an ESC project called Rural Future. Throughout the year, we had 6 young people come to Mrachenik, a rural village in the Balkan Mountains, working to rebuild a school and learn more about and connect with rural life and people. This year, we start our new project, Wild Vibes. We now have 1 young person volunteering through this project, co-funded by the EU.:hammer_and_wrench: If you like what you see, you can apply here.:information_source: You can get to know the project better here.During the Wild Vibes Project, we will cover weekly progress through the so-called “Weekly Recaps”. Here we will give a brief overview of what is happening in this little village called Mrachenik and report on our experiences.

Hi guys!

Last week Andrey left Mrachenik for a while, and Martina left for good ;( So, mostly it was just Roni here by themselves. This weeks activities were mostly miscellaneous errands, like changing one of the villager’s lightbulbs, and scraping the school bathroom, which Roni did for maany hours… At least there was a chance to listen to good music meanwhile! Another big part was putting together our new social media posts.

The weather has flip flopped between about +10°C and -3°C now, and it’s caused some fun weather phenomena! On the other hand, it’s meant doom for our beloved snowoman, Kinya…

On Thursday Victoria and Leo came back from Smokinya’s “Reset” training course! For the rest of the week we prepared for the arrival of yet another volunteer, Angela Maria, and organized some wood that got delivered to us.

And that’s it for this week!
