We are back ! The last few days have been very eventful but also relaxing and fun.
Yes indeed we had four days off from work and took the opportunity to rest and travel. Some preferred to stay in Mrachenik to rest and take nature walks while others traveled in and out Bulgaria.
One volunteer tells us about her trip and says, “I especially enjoyed the Bulgarian mountains and the seven lakes, amazing!”
Coming back we had to part with our cell phones, it is called “disconnection week”: seven days without a cell phone. We were a bit perplexed but we seem to be doing well!
The first activity after the weekend was a “silent walk”, we had the opportunity to connect with ourselves and to think about our goal and reasons to participate to Bright Future.
After that, back to work ! Many tasks were waiting for us and we’ve been very productive during these 3 past days.
The tasks are not always easy, but there is always something different to do and to learn. Often we are tired but singing and joking together makes the work lighter. Volunteer’s word!
Now we all volunteers are preparing a festival in Mrachenik called “BrightLands Festival”
On August 30-31 there will be music, local businesses selling their products, super fun and interesting workshops and lots of people to meet and get to know!!!
