We are here to share with you new exciting ESC volunteering opportunities in Mrachenik, Bulgaria!

1. Rural Future – Nature, Community, Education – long-term volunteering

Smokinya Foundation offers a 6-month experience in rural Bulgaria, where participants live and work together in a group of up to six people. This project includes shared responsibilities, communal living, and collaboration on various local initiatives. Participants engage in activities that support the local community, develop practical skills, and experience a community-focused lifestyle. The program is designed to foster teamwork, adaptability, and a deeper understanding of rural life.
- 75% rural work; 25% online work
- 38 hours per week
- 2 days off per week + 2 extra days off per month

Our aims focus is on:
– Combining urban and rural opportunities
– Providing youth guidance
– (Re)Building our future youth training and volunteering center
Becoming volunteer with us means gaining expertise in wide range of activities, from manual work, cultural exchange and environmental actions to direct community support on local and international levels. The project equips young volunteers with manual and life skills, intercultural and solidarity understanding, alongside some long-lasting friendships.
IMPORTANT
Obligatory pre-departure meeting: date, time, place – to be announced and sent upon confirmation.

Participation is obligatory, an option is to join via Skype / Hangouts apps.

This project is funded by Erasmus+ programme: accommodation, food, materials, the programme and the travel costs up to the maximum allowed amount are fully covered. No fees.
