Hello everyone!
Have you ever thought about how youth networks are organised in Europe and where you can find more information about learning, volunteering and internships in the European Union and beyond?
Today we would like to share with you the Eurodesk 2023 Annual Review and tell you about the activities that have been carried out in Bulgaria with the participation of Eurodesk.
First of all, it is fair to say that Smokinya has been involved in the Eurodesk community for a long time as one of the 1155 multiplier organisations. This means that we can help you to find opportunities that would be beneficial for your personal development and to search the Eurodesk website. But how can it help you? Let’s take a look at the Eurodesk overview to find out.
Eurodesk covers opportunities in different areas: learning, volunteering, internships, participation and grants. In particular, 20 webinars were organised in 2023, with attended by 770 participants. October 2023 was also the month of the “Time to Move” project. 342 multipliers in 29 countries worked to make Time to Move a dynamic and creative time for the youth information sector. 1169 events were organised for young people to learn about ways to experience Europe. At Smokinya Foundation we’ve been actively involved in this campaign. We organised four events: 2 presentations, the treasure hunt and the intercultural night at the office. Our visit to Hristo Gruev Danov Secondary School and the presentation that took place in our office was an important step in promoting the various opportunities offered by Eurodesk.
The big part of the Eurodesk activities is the Euroclasses. The Euroclasses aim to develop four modules: Euro-Volunteering, Euro-Participation, Euro-Activism and Euro-Working. And in 2023, was introduced a new special module, EU Elections 2024, developed for the upcoming European Parliament elections. For the same reason, a seminar on young people’s political participation was organised by the Youth Partnership of the European Commission and the Council of Europe.
In 2023, Eurodesk was involved in many initiatives such as: two conferences (one in Sweden and one in Spain), European Youth Event, International Tool Fair ‘Mental Health – Minds in Motion’. In 2023, Eurodesk published 6 materials for young people and youth workers and participated in 9 events aimed at youth information work.
In Bulgaria, around 36 people are dedicated to Eurodesk’s daily activities to support and inform young people. Eurodesk Bulgaria participated in a national information campaign on Erasmus+ and ESC organised by NA Bulgaria in six different cities. In 2023, Eurodesk’s multipliers, in particular Smokinya Foundation, organised over 400 local events, reaching over 4000 young people and youth workers.
Smokinya Foundation continues to work on developing youth networks across Europe. You can find out more about Eurodesk opportunities and take a step towards your personal development. Check out the link below and make your own future better:
