Call for ESC Volunteers in Romania

the project Activities
the volunteers will create, organise and implement the following activities:
Educational activities:
– set up a non-formal club that will run activities in 2 schools and 1 high school in Snagov community (non-formal learning activities, human rights, citizen rights, etc.).
– organise and implement non-formal learning activities in A4ACTION Youth Centre (outdoor and indoor activities), together with the local volunteers.
– organise international evenings during the project, with the aim of promoting different cultural values from the volunteers’ origin countries.
Content creation:
– set up an online Youth Centre where we will develop online lessons, articles and videos on topics such as volunteering, cultural diversity, but also uploading materials that capture the experience of volunteers in the community.
– update the A4ACTION website, Facebook and Instagram pages (editing pictures and videos and uploading them).
Administrative activities:
– initiate, start and deploy new projects based on the needs of children and youngsters from Snagov community and from the communities in which our partners are involved.
– participate in A4ACTION meetings (one time per week).
– promote the project, the association and our activities within the community.
– create posts and articles that will be uploaded to the A4ACTION website, Facebook and Instagram pages.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE:
– Between 18 and 30 years old.
– You are actively involved in a NGO in your country, and you have worked with young people or children at least once.
– Result orientated, ambitious youngster, willing to develop yourself.
– You are an European Solidarity Corps programme and partner countries resident (EU countries + Iceland, North Macedonia, Turkey, Liechtenstein + Albania, Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Egypt, Georgia, Israel, Jordan, Kosovo, Lebanon, Libya, Moldova, Montenegro, Morocco, Norway, Palestine, Russia, Serbia, Syria, Tunisia, Ukraine).
– You have finished secondary school or equivalent.
– You are unemployed at the time of selection.
IMPORTANT
Obligatory pre-departure meeting: date, time, place – to be announced and sent upon confirmation.
Come in person to learn about Smokinya, Erasmus+, this project, reimbursement and ask your questions.
Participation is obligatory, an option is to join via Skype / Hangouts apps.

That requires commitment. You will be asked to organise a follow-up activity after the program.
The program is intensive and challenging.
The program does NOT include cultural and touristic sightseeing.

COST AND FEES
This project is funded by European Solidarity programme: accommodation, food, materials, the programme and the travel costs up to the maximum allowed amount are fully covered. No fees.
Maximum travel reimbursement: 180 – 820 EUR depending on the distance.
