The town twinning association of Nouvelle-Aquitaine (Association des CommunesJumelées de Nouvelle-Aquitaine in French – ACJNA) is looking for one volunteer for one volunteering project in France, within the framework of the European Solidarity Corps programme of the European Union.
Activities:
➢ Sharing his/her mobility experience with young people involved in twinning in the region,
➢ Promote volunteering in the twinning network in NouvelleAquitaine,
➢ Informing young people from town twinning about the opportunities of international mobility and youth initiatives (internships, volunteering, youth exchanges…),
➢ Helping town twinning and twinning committees on their mobility projects,
➢ Participating to build and animate workshops/trainings about mobility, with non-formal education methods,
➢ Helping to communicate and promote European and international mobility (posters, brochures, exhibitions, social media, website, videos, testimonies…).
According to the rules of the program European Solidarity corp, you will provide accommodation, food, and transport, moreover:
➢ Round-trip ticket (according to the scale of the European solidarity corps),
➢ Health insurance (CIGNA),
➢ Pocket money for personal costs (6€/day, approximately 180€/month),
➢ If necessary, visa fees,
➢ Online French lessons (thanks to OLS platform),
➢ On-arrival and mid-term trainings with other European volunteers,
➢ Mobility preparation (by the sending organisation),
Volunteer profile:
➢ Age: 18-30 year-old volunteer,
➢ Resident in EU countries, Iceland or Norway,
➢ No special certification, diploma or professional experience are required,
➢ Being spontaneous, open-minded and be ready to have challenges,
➢ Eager to learn and contribute actively to the association activities and development,
➢ Being ready to live in an urban area from 210 000 inhabitants,
➢ Having interests in the field of twinning, interculturalism, mobility and youth,
➢ Basic notions of French would be more convenient for the project (or will to learn and speak French during the mobility period).
IMPORTANT
Obligatory pre-departure meeting: date, time, place – to be announced and sent upon confirmation.
Come in person to learn about Smokinya, Erasmus+, this project, reimbursement and ask your questions.
Participation is obligatory, an option is to join via Skype / Hangouts apps.

That requires commitment. You will be asked to organise a follow-up activity after the program.
The program is intensive and challenging.
The program does NOT include cultural and touristic sightseeing.

COST AND FEES
This project is funded by European Solidarity Corps programme: accommodation, food, materials, the programme and the travel costs up to the maximum allowed amount are fully covered. No fees.
Maximum travel reimbursement for Bulgarians: 275 EUR per person or 320 EUR per person when you travel.
