“ECOVISION” – YOUTH EXCHANGE
Duration: 9 days.

Summary
Are you concerned about the current global warming situation? Would you like to learn and develop your skills in the field of climate action and sustainable lifestyle? Are you willing to participate in the solution and make a real change? If so, keep on reading. This opportunity is for you!
As part of the Erasmus+ Programme funded by the European Commission, Youth BCN is offering the chance to participate in an exciting nine-day Youth Exchange experience (23-31 May) in the beautiful city of Barcelona, Spain.
A project especially focused on topics such as climate change, sustainability, pollution, zero waste, ecology, recycling or alternative lifestyles with the aim of raising awareness about these issues by working together with the participants on different techniques, skills and attitudes that will provide them with useful and meaningful knowledge.

We are looking for people (4 participants + 1 Team Leader):
- Between 18 – 25 years old.
- Residing in any of the participating countries (Bulgaria in this case).
- With previous experience or with interest in learning about ecology, sustainable lifestye and taking action in local communities .
- Notice that, as a learning opportunity to take further steps and responsabilities in facilitating activities in the field of youth and non-formal educaition, all Team Leaders will be in charge of coordinating the preparation of workshops during the Youth Exchange.
The Youth Exchange offers:
- To raise awareness of the necesity and importance of eco-lifestyle.
- To develop competences (knowledge, skill and attitudes) for implementing eco-lifestyle.
- To develop a sense of initiative and entreprenurial mindset.
- Exchange knowledge, experiences and good practices between participants regarding the topics of the project.
- To find and implement solutions to the environmental issues in their local communities.
Accommodation
- The accommodation for the Youth Exchange is the Youth Hostel Xanascat, located near “Barri Carmel” and “Park Güell”, 20 minutes from the city center by public transportation.
- All rooms are fully equiped with WiFi, lockers, bunk beds and shared bathrooms.
- Participants will be placed in rooms mixing nationalities according to the official safety measures (lowest ratio possible per room).
- The hostel provides vegetarian and vegan options for food, as well as other dietary restrictions.
- During the Youth Exchange, costs for board and lodging are covered by the project.
Travel costs reimbursement
- According to the rules of Erasmus+ Program, Youth BCN will reimburse the travel costs of the participants.
- The reimbursement of the travel costs requires to present the pertinent orginal tickets, receipts, invoices and boarding passes.
- Every reimbursement will be done in Euros regardless the currency indicated in the the documents provided.
- Travel costs reimbursment cover until 275 euros for participants from Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Austria, Serbia and Denmark, and until 360 euros for people from Estonia.
- There is a contribution fee of 35 euros to the overall cost of the project that will be collected from the travel costs reimbursement of participants.
- Do not buy any transportation ticket without consulting the main coordinator at afrias@youthbcn.com.

Participation is mandatory, an option is to join via Skype / Hangouts apps.

This is learning program funded by Erasmus+ programme.
That requires commitment. You will be asked to organise a follow-up activity after the program.
The program is intensive and challenging.
The program does NOT include cultural and touristic sightseeing.

Travel reimbursement is only sent to those who fully participate in all phases, including the follow-up and dissemination.
