Hi there!
I would like to share my reflections now that I have reached the halfway point of my journey here
in Bulgaria with Smokinya. Honestly, I was a bit worried about this new experience at first, even
though it had always been one of my dreams to try living close to nature in such a different
environment, even for a short period. Along my way, I have met amazing friends whom I hope to
keep in my life even after this program ends.
I feel that I’m spending my summer in a meaningful and productive way by investing in my
personal development, both physically and spiritually. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the
nature in Bulgaria, it is absolutely fabulos. It inspires me every day and graps my deep thoughts
to the surface. I still can’t believe that I finally learned how to ride a bicycle!
Also, supporting the local people with their daily work, listening to their stories, and discovering
Bulgarian food and culture have all touched me deeply. Smokynia gave me an opportunity to look
at the life from different perspective away from my academic and business life, it’s like a good
pause to make some adjustments for my life. I’m really looking forward the rest of the summer!
