Проектът и задачата

Целта на проекта е да научите повече за отглеждането на диви животни и да опознаете различни култури, като за целта ще:

  • Се грижите за ранени или болни местни животни: раздаване на храна, почистване на клетките, с крайната цел (ако и когато е възможно) да ги реинтродуцирате в естествената им среда
  • Се грижите за екзотични животни, които не могат да бъдат пуснати на свобода: раздаване на храна, почистване на клетките
  • Насърчаване и разпространяване на знания за еволюционния процес чрез директно наблюдение на животните
  • Провеждане на образователни дейности и екологично образование в подкрепа на развитието на правилни взаимоотношения между човека и другите животни
  • Извършване на изследователска дейност в областта на поведенческата екология в сътрудничество с университети и изследователски институти.
  • Комуникация и социални медии (заснемане на снимки и видеоклипове, писане на текстове за уебсайта на центъра и социалните медии).

    Кандидатствайте, ако:

  • сте граждани на възраст 18–30 години, живеещи в държави-членки на ЕС
  • сте на разположение за целия период на проекта
  • имате страст към физическия труд на открито
  • притежавате дух на сътрудничество и готовност да поемате инициатива
  • имате практически умения за решаване на проблеми и способност за адаптация
  • уважавате общностния живот, устойчивите практики и екологичния начин на живот
  • Готови да живеете в междукултурен контекст в селска местност, където най-близката автобусна спирка е на 20 минути пеша по наклон, а най-близките магазини са на 10 минути с кола
  • Основно ниво на английски език
  • Интерес към изучаване на италиански език
  • Шофьорска книжка е много добре дошла.

    Логистика и подкрепа

  • Храната ще се купува от доброволците с дневен хранителен пауш от 6 евро, изплащан месечно, и ще се приготвя самостоятелно в кухнята на къщата
  • Настаняването ще бъде в къща на 2 минути пеша от парка, в стаи, споделени с други доброволци от същия пол. Къщата е оборудвана с кухня, бани, тоалетни, Wi-Fi и пералня
  • Дневни разходи от 6 евро

    The project and the task

    the project is to learn more about wild animals keeping and exploring different cultures and for that you gonna:

  • Taking care of injured or sick local animals: distributing food, cleaning enclosures, with the final aim of (if and when possible) reintroducing them into their natural environment
  • Taking care of exotic animals that cannot be released in the wild: distributing food, cleaning enclosure
  • Promoting and spreading evolutionary process knowledge through the direct observation of animals
  • Carrying out education activities and environmental education to support the development of a right relationship between man and other animals
  • Performing research activity in the field of behavioural ecology in collaboration with universities and research institutes.
  • Communication and social media (taking pictures and videos, writing texts for the centre’s website and social media).

    Apply if you are:

  • 18-30 years old citizens living in EU member countries
  • Available for the whole duration of the project
  • A passion for outdoor physical work
  • Collaborative spirit with a willingness to take initiative
  • Practical problem-solving skills and adaptability
  • Respect for community living, sustainable practices, and eco-friendly lifestyles
  • Ready to live in an intercultural context in a rural area, where the closest bus stop is at 20 minutes on foot downhill, and the closest shops are at 10 minutes by car
  • Basic level in English
  • Interested in learning Italian
  • Driving license is very welcome.

    Logistics and support

  • Food will be bought by volunteers with a food allowance of 6 euros per day, given monthly, and cooked autonomously in their house kitchen
  • Accommodation will be in a house at 2 minutes walking distance from the Park, in rooms shared with other volunteers of the same gender. The house is equipped with kitchen, bathrooms, toilets, wi-fi, and washing machine
  • Pocket money of 6 euros per day
  • Health insurance (www.henner.com)

    IMPORTANT
    Obligatory pre-departure to be announced and sent upon confirmation.
    Come in person to learn about Smokinya, ESC, this project, reimbursement and ask your questions.
    Participation is obligatory, an option is to join via Skype / Hangouts apps.

    COST AND FEES
    This project is funded by the ESC program: accommodation, food, materials, the program and the travel costs up to the maximum allowed amount are fully covered. No fees.

    Maximum travel reimbursement for Bulgarians: 395EUR per person.

    Smokinya Foundation operates thanks to hundreds of volunteering hours per month and donations.
    We ask a contribution of 30 EUR from all confirmed applicants.
    Your donation covers some of our administrative and organisational expenses and supports Smokinya Foundation’s dream to establish youth-run international volunteering and training centre. In case the suggested donation amount is excessive for you, fill in the application form and contact us.
