We are looking for 2 volunteers for great missions!
-Mission 1: Support our team in supervising children and adolescents in their schooling. These actions include several aspects: reception and integration of refugees and migrants – promoting European mobility projects (citizenship and participation) – education and training (homework help, mediation between families and schools).The action of European volunteers will bring a more multicultural value and will allow us to act better on equal opportunities and social inclusion.
-Mission 2: The last area you can get into is sport. Our structure offers hiking, cooperative games as well as climbing. You will be involved in promoting these activities to a remote audience. As part of this mission, you will be working in schools or leisure facilities to promote sports activities among children and teenagers. Similarly, this mission includes health education for refugees and migrants. This mission is all public: from 6 to 80 years!

We are a collective whose members come from the « Landes » territory and different professional, cultural, educational or associative sectors. A common goal unites us: to open new horizons from local to international. As a non-governmental organization, Maison de l’Europe des Landes WIPSEE is approved by the Social and Solidarity Economy and is attentive to the “Sustainable Development Goals” (agenda 2030).
We also take part in the development of the social link, the strengthening of the territorial cohesion and Youth. We respond to public policies in France and Europe. In order to apply our values everywhere, we organize different animations and events, such as interventions in schools, events around mobility to help young people realizing their project or events about the ecology. Maison de l’Europe des Landes WIPSEE is also committed to the “Landes” department and the “New Aquitaine” region by being active on high issues such as employability, vocational training, volunteering, citizenship, sustainable development, innovation and creativity, multi-sectoral partnerships,etc.
Concrete Actions:
-We propose or organize internships, volunteer missions, integration projects
-We set up projects for the exchange of young people and adults,
-We welcome delegations, international groups,
-We develop civic events, conferences and international seminars,
-We develop collaborative projects with international partners, establishing a diagnosis, searching for European funds …,
-We advise and train on interculturality, modern languages (French and host country languages) , project engineering, management of transnational partnerships, European policies…,
-We create workshops to raise awareness on citizenship, solidarity, interculturality…
Activities:
-Participate in Forums and fares to promote European mobility and citizenship
-Participate in « cafés linguistiques » to promote language diversity
1 hour per week, the volunteers will animate a language exchange with local people by playing games and interactive activities
Goal : learn and speak languages in a funny way
-To organise events to make local people discover Europe
Seminars, animations in schools, linguistic holidays, markets …
Goal : encourage people about sustainability, different cultures, gastronomy, learn a new language, go abroad …
-Promote Europe throughout activities
games with children, debates with adults and students …
Goal : develop the European identity
-Creating visual and digital contents for the association
creation of posters, videos, presentations, interactive games, posts on social media …
Goal : promote the association
-Creating events, animations (online or face to face)
-Other, according to the abilities of the volunteer.
Volunteer’s profile
-Dynamic person that is creative and always want to bring forward some new ideas .
-Has a good contact with the public
-Is open-minded with other cultures and other ways of working
-Driving license is a +
-A first level of French is highly recommended to facilitate communication in the team
