One person is needed for for a long-term volunteering project in Zabok, Croatia. The organisation Zagor leads a youth center, volunteer center and information center for young people and all interested citizens. They organize many activities, events, workshops, public actions and debates to strengthen the capacity of young people and to promote active citizenship.
 
The volunteer through his/her creativity will contribute to the local community by participating and carrying out activities that are aimed at encouraging active participation of local society, which leads to the development of a more solidary community.

We are looking for volunteers who is:
– between 18 and 30 years old
– independent and responsible
– creative and responsive
– self-initiative and willing to learn something more and to share their current knowledge and experience
– communicative and flexible.
 
Volunteers will participate in activities in the projects, which Zagor is implementing, like:
– participating on workshops in high schools and with young people on the subject of the project
– participating on volunteer actions, intercultural events
– help with making a podcast
– editing short promotional videos about volunteer services
– help on online magazine

IMPORTANT
Obligatory pre-departure meeting: date, time, place – to be announced and sent upon confirmation.
Come in person to learn about Smokinya, Erasmus+, this project, reimbursement and ask your questions.
Participation is obligatory, an option is to join via Skype / Hangouts apps.

This is learning program funded by European Solidarity Corps programme.
That requires commitment. You will be asked to organise a follow-up activity after the program.
The program is intensive and challenging.
The program does NOT include cultural and touristic sightseeing.

COST AND FEES
This project is funded by European Solidarity Corps programme: accommodation, food, materials, the programme and the travel costs up to the maximum allowed amount are fully covered. No fees.

Maximum travel reimbursement for Bulgarians: 275 EUR per person.
