Activity “AMPROS”

Volunteers daily activities:

– accompany people with intellectual and developmental disabilities during different free time daily activities
scheduled by the AMPROS center
– organize special events like Winter Festival, San Valentine’s Day, Holiday Programme, Summer
Camps, weekend activities in a hostel, sports events, festivals to celebrate Cantabria Day and
seminars about volunteering
– collaborate with other organizations or training centers like “Asociación SerJoven” in order to
manage workshops, summer and work camps, educational activities, meetings and seminars to
promote ESC and European projects.

Volunteers’ profile:

– Any person who is ready to devote his/her free time in the benefit of the people with intellectual and
developmental disabilities in an altruistic way and whose physical and mental condition is compatible with
project duties
– a person with no mobility problems and motivated enough
– flexible, with sense of iniciative
– be ready to live in a shared room with other European volunteers.

Activity “ONCE”

Volunteers daily activities:

– Accompaniment to people with visual impairments to help them run daily tasks
– Helping them to participate in activities organized by ONCE
– Accompaniment in excursions or trekking, in big events and celebrations
– Going for a walk with them offering their company
– Helping with promoting the ESC programme
– organizing free time educational activities for youth and information and promotion of ESC Programme, workshops, alternative educative night activities, summer camps, work camps, awareness-raising campaigns and other educative activities, talks and seminars disseminationg European Solidarity Corps and European activities.

Volunteers’ profile:

– motivated, whose physical and mental condition is compatible with project duties
– a person with no mobility problems and motivated enough
– flexible (the activities have no fixed timetable)
– able to motivate a person with visual impairment to go out andenrich their social life
– ready to live in a shared room with another European volunteer
– basic level of Spanish is an asset
– previous experience with people at risk of social exclusion or experience as an animator or youth leader, as well as having worked with the elderly, is welcome (however not necessary).

IMPORTANT
Obligatory pre-departure meeting to be announced and sent upon confirmation.
Come in person to learn about Smokinya, Erasmus+, this project, reimbursement and ask your questions.
Participation is obligatory, an option is to join via Skype / Hangouts apps.

COST AND FEES
This project is funded by European Solidarity Corps programme: accommodation, food, materials, the programme and the travel costs up to the maximum allowed amount are fully covered. No fees.

Maximum travel reimbursement for Bulgarians: 360 EUR per person (for the round trip).
