The goal of the project:
To create a brave and inclusive space where we can explore together how to shift perspectives – how to stay connected with others, bring respect into everything we do, and empower young people to embrace diversity with confidence and curiosity.
In this training course, you will address the following topics:
- Culture – you will look at approaches to culture and critically reflect on cultural stereotypes that are often replicated through international learning programmes.
- Identity – you will explore uniqueness of each person and look for ways how to prevent discrimination based on differences among people.
- Awareness – you will get a chance to look at your own mental patterns and how to liberate yourself from them.
- Communication that connects people – you will learn basics of nonviolent communication as an approach that fosters connection.
- Imagination – you will train and expand our ability to imagine different ways of functioning with others, outside the usual frames and patterns.
- Design of educational programmes – you will practically test how to design and deliver programmes which contribute to creating a fairer and more inclusive environment in youth work.
Participant’s profile:
- people active in youth work: trainers, facilitators, volunteers, coordinators of volunteers, social workers, teachers or other educators
- 18 + years old
- able to communicate in English fluently
- living or coming from the Czech Republic, Italy, Hungary, Bulgaria, Spain, Estonia, Greece or Poland
IMPORTANT
Obligatory pre-departure meeting: date, time, place – to be announced and sent upon confirmation.
Come in person to learn about Smokinya, Erasmus+, this project, reimbursement and ask your questions.
Participation is obligatory, an option is to join via Skype / Hangouts apps.

That requires commitment. You will be asked to organise a follow-up activity after the program.
The program is intensive and challenging.
The program does NOT include cultural and touristic sightseeing.

COST AND FEES
This project is funded by Erasmus+ programme: accommodation, food, materials, the programme and the travel costs up to the maximum allowed amount are fully covered. No fees.
Maximum travel reimbursement for Bulgarians: 297 EUR | 405 EUR (green travel) per person.
Participation donation: 50 EUR given in cash upon arrival at registration in place. This amount is an investment in your learning and supports the hosting organization’s local activities.
