Looking back at my time at Smokinya Foundation, I can say that this experience has truly been important and transformative for me. When I arrived in September 2024, I didn’t know what to expect, but I was ready to learn, grow, and challenge myself. Now, after several months of volunteering, I can see how much I’ve changed – both personally and professionally.
During my time at Smokinya Foundation, I acquired many new skills that I’m sure will be useful in the future. I mastered Canva, DaVinci Resolve, and Adobe After Effects, which allowed me to create visual materials and videos. I also learned how to write promotional posts for the website and social media, improving the structure and appeal of the content. While organizing various events, I developed skills in management, coordination, and teamwork. One of the most significant achievements for me was improving my English – through communication in an international environment, I became more confident in speaking and expressing my thoughts.

This was a personal project in which I applied my new video editing skills and expressed myself creatively. It was a big step for me, and I’m proud of the result. Moreover, living and working in a foreign country pushed me out of my comfort zone. I met incredible people, learned to adapt to different cultures, and gained a new perspective on the world. I also managed to find many new friends, and I truly value these relationships.
My experience at Smokinya Foundation has been filled with learning, challenges, and unforgettable moments. I’m leaving with new skills, wonderful memories, and a clearer understanding of what I want to do next. I’m very grateful for this opportunity and for all the people I’ve met along the way.
