We have great news to share!

From February 18 to 23, Smokinya Foundation took part in the Alliance Technical Meeting 2025 in Zrenjanin, Serbia, hosted by Young Researchers of Serbia/Mladi istrazivaci Srbije.

This gathering brought together 94 participants and representatives from more than 50 organisations in the Alliance of European Voluntary Service Organisations. Everyone came to plan volunteer projects for 2025, exchange ideas in workshops, and network during the volunteering fair.

We’re excited to announce that Smokinya Foundation has now joined the Alliance as a Guest Organisation. This step means we’ll have access to a broader range of volunteer opportunities for young people, and we can learn from the experiences of our new partners across Europe, America and Asia. The meeting itself was a mix of lively bilateral sessions, an enriching city tour of Zrenjanin, and the chance to hang out informally and get to know other organisations.

Our team member Meri also took part in the “buddy system,” which paired first-timers like us with experienced members to support everyone to feel welcome.

By joining the Alliance, we’re committed to offering more diverse projects and promoting active citizenship. If you’re curious about our future plans, keep an eye on our channels for updates on volunteer projects. And if you want to see how volunteering connects people worldwide, have a look at alliance-network.eu.

This is a big step for Smokinya Foundation, and we can’t wait to see the positive changes it brings!
