1. Holi – Festival of Colors
Dates: 03 March – 15 March 2025
Venue: Solan, India
Theme: Festival / Culture

Celebrate Holi, India’s vibrant festival of colors. Immerse yourself in local traditions, music, dance, and other activities. This project offers an exciting way to experience Indian culture and the joy of community celebrations.
2. Tibetan Culture & Social Development
Dates: 10 March – 22 March 2025
Venue: Dharamshala/Solan, India (home to H.E. the Dalai Lama)
Theme: Culture / Social Development
Participating Countries: Open to volunteers from around the world
Experience the rich Tibetan way of life in Dharamshala. Engage in intercultural exchange, learn about Tibetan culture, and support local community initiatives.
This is a learning program. It requires full focus and participation.
Travel reimbursement is only sent to those who fully participate in all phases, including the follow-up and dissemination.

Important Details:
1) Work Description:
-Support local communities and engage in cultural exchange activities.
-Assist in organizing and participating in festival events.
-Contribute to community development and intercultural understanding.
2) Accommodation:
-Volunteers will be provided with shared accommodation.
-Meals will be provided, with vegetarian options available.
3) Participation Fee:
-A nominal fee to cover accommodation, meals, and project coordination.
-Exact amount to be confirmed.
4) Requirements:
-Enthusiasm for cultural exchange and community service.
-Respect for local customs and traditions.
-Basic English communication skills; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
5) Language:
-English will be the primary language of communication.
-Opportunities to learn local languages will be available.
6) Other Details:
-Volunteers are encouraged to arrive a day before the project start date.
-An orientation session will be conducted on the first day.

Smokinya Foundation operates thanks to hundreds of volunteering hours per month and donations.
We ask a contribution of 20 EUR /40 leva/ from all confirmed applicants.
Your donation covers some of our administrative and organisational expenses and supports Smokinya Foundation’s dream to establish youth-run international volunteering and training centre. In case the suggested donation amount is excessive for you, fill in the application form and contact us.
