Number of places open for Bulgarians: 5 participants + 1 youth worker


Beyond Stereotypes is an international youth exchange that gives young people the opportunity to exchange ideas and realities while educating themselves on the topic of LGBTQ+ life satisfaction and gaining self-confidence regarding their identity. The goal of this project is that at the end of the youth exchange, the participants leave with a clear awareness of who they are, what they need, and what they want besides sexuality and gender.

Participant Profile:

  • 18-30 years old
  • Part of the LGBTQ+ community and allies
  • Ready to share and raise awareness about LGBTQ+ topics
  • Bring new perspectives
  • Challenge stereotypes

 

Group Leaders Profile:

  • 18+ years old
  • Good level in English
  • Previous experiences in Erasmus+ projects

This is a learning program. It requires full focus and participation.
Travel reimbursement is only sent to those who fully participate in all phases, including the follow-up and dissemination.

IMPORTANT
Obligatory pre-departure meeting: date, time, place – to be announced and sent upon confirmation.
Come in person to learn about Smokinya, Erasmus+, this project, reimbursement and ask your questions.
Participation is obligatory, an option is to join via Skype / Hangouts apps.

That requires commitment. You will be asked to organise a follow-up activity after the program.
The program is intensive and challenging.
The program does NOT include cultural and touristic sightseeing.

COST AND FEES
This project is funded by Erasmus+ programme: accommodation, food, materials, the programme and the travel costs up to the maximum allowed amount are fully covered. No fees.

Maximum travel reimbursement for Bulgarians: 275 EUR per person.

Smokinya Foundation operates thanks to hundreds of volunteering hours per month and donations.
We ask a contribution of 20 EUR /40 leva/ from all confirmed applicants.
Your donation covers some of our administrative and organisational expenses and supports Smokinya Foundation’s dream to establish youth-run international volunteering and training centre. In case the suggested donation amount is excessive for you, fill in the application form and contact us.
