IN A NUTSHELL
The project is all about creating and experiencing a healthy community within nature while focusing also on hands-on activities (gardening and construction works), outreaching the local society (organising a local festival), and activities towards heritage digitalisation. The project was created by Hopeland and is implemented in 3 stages by a team of partners.
VOLUNTEER’S PROFILE
The profile of people we are looking for is:
18-30 years old (not older than 31 on the 1st of July 2023)
Who doesn’t require visa to stay in Italy for one-month duration
Ready to live in a rural environment with basic conditions for 4 weeks
Eager to be challenged into aligning together with people from different cultures
Enthusiastic with hands-on activities and practical tasks like gardening, building, cooking, cleaning etc
Eager to take initiatives and create opportunities for themselves and society
People with a clear plan and vision regarding their participation in the project and beyond
Priority will be given to people with challenging backgrounds.
IMPORTANT
Obligatory pre-departure meeting: date, time, place – to be announced and sent upon confirmation.
Come in person to learn about Smokinya, Erasmus+, this project, reimbursement and ask your questions.
Participation is obligatory, an option is to join via Skype / Hangouts apps.

That requires commitment. You will be asked to organise a follow-up activity after the program.
The program is intensive and challenging.
The program does NOT include cultural and touristic sightseeing.

COST AND FEES
This project is funded by European Solidarity Corps: accommodation, food, materials, the programme and the travel costs up to the maximum allowed amount are fully covered.
Maximum travel reimbursement for Bulgarians: Your travel costs will be reimbursed according to the amount shown in the original boarding passes, tickets and invoices.
Participation donation: 64 EUR given in cash upon arrival at registration in place. This amount is an investment in your learning and supports the hosting organization’s local activities.
