Hello everyone! My name is Masha, I am 22 years old, I am from Russia. It’s easy to remember – Masha from Russia))
I arrived in Plovdiv 2 days ago to spend a whole year as a volunteer at the Smokinya Foundation.
Who am I and why am I here? Let’s get acquainted, I’ll try to write it in an interesting way.
I grew up in St. Petersburg. You may have heard something about it. St. Petersburg is the second largest city in Russia, sometimes it is called the Venice of the North. Why? Because of the huge number of rivers, canals and bridges and it is a northern city because it is so located. Сome to St. Petersburg this city is really beautiful!
In St. Petersburg, I graduated in folk singing at the music school where we studied not only the culture of Russia, but also other people culture. I have always been interested in the culture of different countries and peoples, how they live, what they love and what they hate, what they admire and what inspires them.
The tradition of Bulgaria is very interesting for me, that’s why I’m here and I want to learn more about this country. Of course, we have something in common, but we all have a lot of different things and this is very exciting.
It is also very important that guys from different countries participate in this project, it really like it. We’re all so different, but we’re all so cool!)))
What is my goal in this project?
Every point is very important for me.
First of all, I really want to know different languages in order to feel free everywhere and with everyone. So that I can tell everything and understand everything that people wants to tell me.
Secondly, I like to help and I really want that everyone will be happy in the way that they like. If I can help someone in any way, I will be very happy.
Thirdly, this project is an opportunity to develop my skills, gain new skills, make new acquaintances and think creatively.
And one more point, no less important for me, I want to create something new music. I have created my own songs and If it would be interesting in listening them my creative nickname is Marakyia and my songs are on all music platforms. In this year in Bulgaria I would like to create songs with different people, in different languages, with different musical instruments typical of each culture.
I want to thank a lot the organizers of this project, the volunteers who support me in any situation, help me to get used to, understand the language, since my English and Bulgarian are not very good at the moment, we will see what will be after the completion of the project.
And the last thing I want to say we can make the world more creative, brighter, more interesting, more unusual, more positive and kinder together, I want to do just that)
