Ultimately Advanced | Training Course in Bulgaria
 

Smokinya Foundation has finished its preparation and choosen the participants for the Erasmus+ Training course "Ultimately Advanced Training of Trainers " in Bulgaria. The course aims to support youth workers, educators, and trainers in developing their individual practices. The project is fostering diversity by including participants from 15 countries and various cultures, promoting sustainability in career pathways and cultivating a mindset for EU-level engagement.

 

It is training in leadership and accountability for youth workers, trainers, and educators, and facilitating the exchange of best practices, innovative methods, and networking opportunities among peers. Thе project program is designed to support you to become aware of your inner and outer games. It is highly experiential, challenging, and intense in terms of working hours.

"Time To Move" Events

 

On October 10th and 17th, the Smokinya team organized presentations on the topic "Time To Move" at the "Hristo Danov" school in Plovdiv for the 10th and 12th grades. In these two presentations, we shared how Eurodesk's "Time To Move" campaign is opening doors to new adventures and pathways and the wide variety of communities. This is how we also presented the opportunities of how to discover Europe with the Erasmus+ program and the European Solidarity Corps. At the end, thanks to our partners Time to Move, Eurodesk, Erasmus and Humarn Resoursec Development Centre, the students received more than 100 notebooks, 100 pens, and some flyers and stickers.

Additionally, in Smokinya office we had a presentation on Thursday 12th October to represent the "Time to Move" campaign from the Eurodesk network with the locals in our office. During these activities, participants had the opportunity to engage in activities that will reveal the diversity and opportunities for young people in Europe and discover the travel opportunities which presented by Eurodesk network

The last of our Time To Move 2023 event was on Thursday 26th October in which we held a “Scavenger Hunt”/ “Treasure Hunt”- an exciting adventure in the heart of Plovdiv. Two teams, 1 app – that’s how the game started. We tested the young people’s knowledge about Eurodesk, Time to Move, Erasmus and the European Solidarity Corps. Together with that, they explored the historical places around the city. Each next step brought them closer to the final destination – our office, where the participants, besides the new knowledge, received their surprise prizes from Eurodesk.

The Time To Move 2023 campaign provided us and all participants with an interesting and engaging way to learn and develop. Hiking Path | Smokinya Event in Mrachenik

As part of the activities of the Smokinya Foundation in the village of Mrachenik, which started during our volunteer project "B.R.I.G.H.T Future" in June 2023, the team of Smokinya held an event where we marked a tourist path. It starts from the school in Mrachenik to Mount Kadrafil in Sarnena Sredna Gora.
 

The only way to keep track of where we've come from is just the added marking, because on the way back we collected all the litter we found. Now this hiking trail is ready to be used by local residents, all interested enthusiasts and even the next group of international volunteers, which will be in Mrachenik for the upcoming volunteer project "B.R.IG.H.T Future 2.0". Everyone is welcome to use this route, but also to take care of its cleanliness.

In October we had 4 Smokinya Clubs. Тhe first one we spend on the volleyball field at Nikola Y. Vaptsarov School in Plovdiv. Then on the 12th October we had a Erasmus+ Day & Culture Night in Smokinya Attic. For the third one, we met again in Smokinya attic and together we had an interesting Movie Night. Finally, the last Smokinya Club was а Scavenger hunt competition in which we uncovered hidden treasures in historical Plovdiv places and thanks to the "Time To Move" campaign, our participants won glorious prizes.

Long Term ESC Volunteering in Croatia
 

From the beginning of 2024, the organization Zagor are going to host two international volunteers, in two different positions. Zagor leads a youth center, volunteer center and information center for young people and all interested citizens. The project is  funded by the European Solidarity Corps programme including accommodation, food, materials, the travel costs, and Insurance.

Long Term ESC Project in Slovenia
 

Open call for long term ESC Volunteering project at the youth centre MCO "Mladinski centre Ormoz" for 6 months.

The roles of the participants will be as follows:
- Help with a youth program
- Work with Kids and teenagers

- Present your country and ESC Programme in local schools and kindergartens.
