Hello! Welcome to the Wild Vibes recap. Since February 2025, we hosted 7 young people for 3 months and more in Mrachenik, rural village in the Sredna Gora region. All working together to renovate an old school into a volunteering and training center while connecting with rural life and locals.
We currently have two volunteer staying for 6-12 months and nine others staying for 3 months this summer!

We will cover weekly progress through the so-called “Weekly Recaps”. Here we will give a brief overview of what is happening in this little village called Mrachenik and report on our experiences.
Hey everyone, another week has passed, so here’s a new recap.
It was a pretty difficult and busy week for me, with a lot of responsibility. I didn’t have time to finish all the tasks Vic gave me. I did everything I could, but I didn’t manage. I know it wasn’t important to do everything, but I would have liked Vic to be proud of me when he gets back.
We’ve almost finished the roof; I just have to do the corners, and then it’s done.
We also removed some paint.
We helped a couple of people.
We cleaned the school.
So, quite a lot of things. We also had a great brainstorming session with Tisho. I have to admit, it was cool to see what people think and all that.
Friday was also movie night. It was nice. Samira came; she played with Tisho’s kids. It was cute. Well, I think that’s all for this week. You’ll have the next recap on Wednesday. I think the volunteers are on vacation, so there you go.

Hello world !
Here is the weekly recap !
This week we focused on finishing the roof, finishing the mirror and removing wall paint that was
cracking. We also did other more punctual tasks.
The roof is now 95% finished, we only need to do the angle but our tiles cutting tool broke so we need
to repair it before finishing the task. The mirror is now completely finished and is in the luggage room to see if our clothes fit us nicely !
For the paint, we use scrapper to take the paint layer out from the wall. It is a long task but it’s getting
removed little by little on the second floor. We also helped a lady from the village to take out some furniture that she doesn’t use anymore and
we take them back to the school so it was a win-win situation for everyone. There was also some sofa and table that Tischauw friends gave to the school. We put them in the
luggage room and cleaned a part of them so we can use them. We also helped the temazcal people to cut the sun tree and transport it up to the ceremony field. We
participated in a part of the ceremony associated to it. We took out the weeds near the kitchen area so it’s now a
good clean space. When you have such a good space you
need to try it out. And with all this work we need not to
forget to eat ! The team understood this well, Nature is all
around so we tried the plums in the tree around the
school which are quite delicious I must say.
Now that it has been one week that Into the wild team left we decided to put back the volleyball
court in the grass field, at the same time we did a level up by making it bigger and putting the net
higher. Now we’re training to be the national Smokinya volley ball team !
We also had a new member in our team !
Welcome Roro a new cat that seems to like us !
And this weekend is a long one because it’s the start of the holidays ! We will enjoy it and let you
know in the next weekly recap.
