Hello! Welcome to the Wild Vibes recap. Since February 2025, we hosted 7 young people for 3 months and more in Mrachenik, rural village in the Sredna Gora region. All working together to renovate an old school into a volunteering and training center while connecting with rural life and locals.
We currently have two volunteer staying for 6-12 months and nine others staying for 3 months this summer!

We will cover weekly progress through the so-called “Weekly Recaps”. Here we will give a brief overview of what is happening in this little village called Mrachenik and report on our experiences.
Hi everyone, I hope you’re all doing well. Here’s this week’s article!
This week was tough because we started with a 17km hike on Monday morning. We went on a trip with everyone from Sunday to Monday, 40km in total. It was really nice. This event took place as part of the “Training Into the Wild” program, it was fun!
On Tuesday and Wednesday, I was in the garden with Sam. We mulched and weeded everything. Sam also added 8 tomato plants that one of the residents gave us, so we should have plenty of tomatoes. Sam also took the time to clean up the chicken coop area, which is currently being used by Dalia the cat and her kittens.
I also spent some time in the school garden to make it look more presentable.
And we spent the rest of our time working on the roof.
