Starting the week, we cleaned the playground next to the mayor’s office. We cleared away the fallen leaves, leaving the area tidy and turned the soil in our garden to prepare for planting potatoes soon.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the weather changed quite a bit as temperatures dropped and snow began to fall. Despite the cold, we continued working, helping to move tiles both inside and onto the roof of a newly constructed house.
During the week, we also prepared Banitsa which turned out very well.
On Thursday, we travelled to Plovdiv to join the city volunteers for office work and cultural exchange. The highlight was the International Night hosted by the Smokinya Club, where volunteers presented their home countries to the local community.
On Friday, we organized a cleanup event and met three lovely German students. Later that evening, we visited a karaoke bar where we all sung Dancing Queen by ABBA together.
Stay tuned for next week!
