The project’s mission

We are searching for 2 volunteers to bring happiness to kindergartens and to different target groups by handcrafting, music and art. You will be invited to bring joy especially to kindergartens, schools, elderly people’s homes and disabled people’s houses. They appreciate your songs in your language, they will enjoy dancing and playing with you or make handcraft workshops with your leading. We are waiting for your proactivity and creative ideas as well. During your volunteering you would also make workshops, create funny outdoor activities and sport activities. In conclusion, you would make complex activities for the everyday life of children and the other target groups. In the summer, the volunteers would also make an English camp for Hungarian teenagers in collaboration with foreigner university students of Szeged.


Your Tasks:
– You will be invited to bring joy to kindergartens, schools, elderly people´s homes or clubs, and disabled people´s houses with music and art.
– You´re task will be to speak about your contry and culture in different institutions, interculturall events, and to promote the international mobility to make more people experience this special journey.
– One of the tasks is also the preparation and administration of your work and working together with Talentum´s coworkers in the office.


The Ideal Volunteer
You are our ideal volunteer if you can play an instrument, love to sing and have a portable instrument. We can provide you simple instruments such as flute, guitare, synthesizer. Also, you are the perfect applicanat if you can speak English fluently, you are communicative, socially sensitive, and creative. The ideal candidate likes to do handcrafts, to lead workshops and does not worry about talking infront of people.


IMPORTANT
Obligatory pre-departure meeting: to be announced and sent upon confirmation.
Come in person to learn about Smokinya, Erasmus+, this project, reimbursement and ask your questions.
Participation is obligatory, an option is to join via Skype / Hangouts apps.

Smokinya Foundation operates thanks to hundreds of volunteering hours per month and donations.
We ask a contribution of 20 EUR /40 leva/ from all confirmed applicants.
Your donation covers some of our administrative and organisational expenses and supports Smokinya Foundation’s dream to establish youth-run international volunteering and training centre. In case the suggested donation amount is excessive for you, fill in the application form and contact us.

The application should be submitted with a professional CV and a motivation letter specificaly written for this project in the European Solidarity Corps system.
