The world map is the personal project of Cansu, one of our volunteers. It was one of the attractions of the YOUTHQUAKE festival that we held in our resent camp. Each person could mark their home country with an orange dot. For Mrachenik we used a white dot, because it´s the venue of our project.
The map was created together with a team of participants of the camp.
The main idea is to show the cultural diversity of our camps. Thanks to the ESC projects, we get the opportunity to connect with people from different countries and backgrounds all in one place. Not only the participants and the team marked their home countries on this map, but our guests of the festival as well, because they are part of the experience too.
For this camp we have used the colour orange, next camp the colour will be different, this has two reasons. First of all using the same colour shows how we all became connected thanks to the project. So even though we all come from different places, we share this experience with each other. Second of all, using different colours each camp/year shows how the project “B.R.I.G.H.T. Future” gets continued over the years. We hope that in a few years this world map can show the support the new Youth Centre in Mrachenik got from people all over Europe and the world.
