Motion Pictures is the 5th edition of the movement projects from Olde Vechte! 10 dynamic days about embodiment and arts, the way we move and shapes our reality, sense of self, and relationship with the world.
We’ll combine movement and visual arts as a tool for community building, inclusion & self-development through embodied arts. From martial arts to
contemporary dance, from hip hop to pole. We intend to move in various ways! Capture and express, learn from each other and use your imagination to capture human beings in motion.
We believe everyone has something to share, so you’ll be encouraged to be pro-active and bring up your gifts! From day 1 expect to be hands on! We learn by doing, we go outside and it’s definitely not the usual classroom setting. In this project we will merge visual arts (in forms of reels or short movies) with movement and body. No matter which role you apply for, you’ll get the chance to try out and experiment both expressive forms!
We’re looking for movement enthusiasts ready to widen their expression by filming and making small art videos together and visual artists ready to try out various movement forms and capturing human motion!
The Group Leader must be 21 years or older and available to join the preparatory visit
IMPORTANT
Obligatory pre-departure meeting: to be announced and sent upon confirmation.
Come in person to learn about Smokinya, Erasmus+, this project, reimbursement and ask your questions.
Participation is obligatory, an option is to join via Skype / Hangouts apps.

That requires commitment. You will be asked to organize a follow-up activity after the program.
The program is intensive and challenging.
The program does NOT include cultural and touristic sightseeing.

COST AND FEES
This project is funded by Erasmus+ programme: accommodation, food, materials, the programme and the travel costs up to the maximum allowed amount are fully covered. No fees.
Maximum travel reimbursement for Bulgarians: number EUR per person.
Participation donation: given in cash upon arrival at registration in place. This amount is an investment in your learning and supports the hosting organization’s local activities.
Smokinya Foundation operates thanks to hundreds of volunteering hours per month and donations.
We ask a contribution of 20 EUR /40 leva/ from all confirmed applicants.
Your donation covers some of our administrative and organisational expenses and supports Smokinya Foundation’s dream to establish youth-run international volunteering and training centre. In case the suggested donation amount is excessive for you, fill in the application form and contact us.
