Hello there!
My name is Brahim, I am 22 y.o. and I’m a new long term ESC volunteer at the Smokinya foundation.
I arrived when Smokinya was hosting the first camp in Mrechenik (Balkan mountains). I got a super start, met a lot of people and experienced the project from another perspective.
But let me introduce myself better. 🙂
I grew up in a small town in northern Italy, Cortemaggiore. I got a degree in maintenance and service and started working in different mechanical engineering companies.
I didn’t like that field, I felt like I was going in the wrong direction. There I started to dream of a different life, big cities, meeting a lot of people, and working with the right values.
One day I found the guts to leave my job and seek a better future, and now, after experiencing few Erasmus+ projects and traveling in different country’s, I’m here with this amazing team that gives me the opportunity to grow and learn continuously.
What about Plovdiv? It’s a wonderful city full of thing to do, i can workout, skate around and play many sports thanks to the many facilities around.
It wasn’t easy to come here, i had to face a lot of fears and obstacles. ”Is this a good choice?” “Will I lose time there?”
Now that almost a month has passed, i can say that this is one of the best choices i ever took in my life, I have a lot of space and support to grow and build my future.
I can’t wait to go through this whole year, I know it’s gonna be amazing!
