TBH Project – Meet new volunteer Loïs

Hi everyone ! I’m Loïs, i come From Biscarrosse in France and i am 28 years old. I joined the Smokinya team in January for the Balkan Highway project, to discover Bulgaria and its cultures . I wanted to participate in a project that makes sense to me with a multicultural team and to acquire new skills to change my French routine, I needed a break in my life and a challenge.

I am naturally optimistic and ready to accept any mission in which I can invest myself and share my knowledge and also learn and discover new things. My curiosity about life makes me an open-minded person. I am eager to integrate and invest myself in any project that will allow me to evolve personally.

I have a background in electronics and I quickly entered the world of work, in commerce for 11 years and in different positions, and also in the associative environment, all of this allowed me to grow and acquire skills of listening and empathy.

I am curious and epicurian, I like wine, cheese and French gastronomy, but I also like to discover new foods. I like the simple things in life, with friends, family, in front of a board game, going for a walk or just chatting over a drink i think is a good thing.

I am open-minded and with Smokinya I hope to meet new people, new ways of thinking, new food, new language to grow my mind.
I wanted to participate in a volunteer project to discover others and myself what I am capable of.

In the midst of a professional challenge, I use the time I have to give of myself and be useful to people in need and I would be happy to help in any way I can.
And I am very happy to have been able to join the Smokinya team in Plovdiv!

As said Marcel Proust, « The true voyage of discovery is not to look for new landscapes, but to have new eyes. »
