HUMOUR IS SERIOUS BUSINESS Training Programme will achieve the following objectives:
– upskilling youth work practitioners in the use of humour as an effective tool for engaging young people and youth work communities;
– enhancing knowledge of the various types of humour so as to increase understanding of how, where, when and why it can be applied;
– increasing awareness of how humour can be used as a pro-active and deliberate methodology in youth work and not just as a natural consequence
of and response to specific situations;
– consider cultural differences in humour and understand better how these can be used to support and inform youth work practice;
– providing space and time for practitioners to reflect upon the use of their own sense of humour and consider where it can be altered to support
their practice;
– challenge participants to step out of their ‘comfort zone’ in order to appreciate their own commitment to learning;
– developing local humour-based programmes to test methodologies and techniques with a view to informing humour-based practice;
– the development of a number of joint-actions between partner organizations.

The program does NOT include cultural and touristic sightseeing.

COST AND FEES
This project is funded by Erasmus+ programme: accommodation, food, materials, the programme and the travel costs up to the maximum allowed amount are fully covered.
Maximum travel reimbursement for Bulgarians: 275 EUR per person.
Participation donation: 30 EUR which you can pay during the reimbursement procedure. This amount is an investment in your learning and supports the hosting organization’s local activities.
Smokinya Foundation operates thanks to hundreds of volunteering hours per month and donations.
We ask a contribution of 20 EUR /40 leva/ from all confirmed applicants.
Your donation covers some of our administrative and organizational expenses and supports Smokinya Foundation’s dream to establish youth-run international volunteering and training center. In case the suggested donation amount is excessive for you, fill in the application form, and contact us.

If you would need a PCR test for entering Austria or entering back the home country, the hosting organization is covering the mandatory PCR test (invoice needed). Please let the team know if this is the case.
